Kidney Health Alliance of Kentucky receives funding from the following United Way organizations:

Most of the funding of KHAKY programs and services comes from various fundraising events.
Trees of Life
This event has been the signature fundraising event for KHAKY for 30 years. It is held annually in late November at in Lexington. The Trees of Life reveals the newly decorated trees each year at a Celebration at the Grand Reserve Event Center the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. Trees are then displayed at the Shops at Lexington Center through the Thanksgiving weekend.
Walks with Sidney and 5k Runs
A combination of a fitness walk and health fair, this event is held at various locations throughout Kentucky from March to September. The walks and runs, led by our mascot, Sidney the Kidney, include exhibitors and information about kidney disease and organ donation.
Other fundraising events may include partnerships with local businesses, raffles, yard sales, etc.
