Based on information from the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network every 22 seconds in the United States someone dies waiting for a transplant and there are over 750 individuals in Kentucky waiting for a life saving kidney transplant.
Unlike most organs, kidneys can be donated by a living donor. Most people have two kidneys and can live a normal life with only one. That means most of us have a spare we can share!

Host an awareness event or town hall discussion with KHAKY representatives on the need for kidney donors and to answer questions
